France has withheld approval for Azerbaijan’s new NATO partnership plan, while Türkiye has blocked Armenia’s and insisted that both agreements move forward together, according to POLITICO.
The proposed partnerships would expand areas such as military training, exercises and political cooperation.
NATO diplomats cited by POLITICO warned that the deadlock could complicate efforts by both South Caucasus countries to deepen ties with Western institutions.
