CNN: Omani pilot accused in Flydubai cockpit attack was previously removed from pilot training over alleged extremist views

CNN reported that the suspect had been removed from pilot training at Oman’s national airline last year over concerns about alleged extremist views.
He was later assigned another role at the airline.
The UAE-born man, whose father is Omani and mother Syrian, had worked for Flydubai for eight months and previously for Royal Air Maroc.
