Denmark’s prime minister says Europe is no longer in peacetime and vows to continue rearmament and support for Ukraine despite Russian threats

Eastora News·

Speaking to Danish broadcaster DR, Mette Frederiksen said Denmark would be in a more dangerous position if it did not allow Ukrainian weapons production on Danish and European soil.

She said Europe’s rearmament, Ukraine’s continued resistance and allied support for strikes against Russia were among the reasons Moscow was carrying out hybrid attacks.

Frederiksen said Denmark should not be intimidated by threats, sabotage attempts or other attacks and would continue strengthening its defenses and supporting Ukraine.

She also rejected the idea that Russia should be allowed to determine Ukraine’s future security arrangements or who can join NATO, and said she supports expanding Denmark’s military reserve.
