Indian Navy sailor arrested over alleged leak of sensitive defense information to Pakistani intelligence operative through online honeytrap

A 31-year-old Indian Navy sailor has been arrested in Coimbatore over allegations that he shared sensitive defense information with a female Pakistani intelligence operative who contacted him online.
Pradeep Mukherjee, assigned to the Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam, is accused of passing information on strategic naval assets, fleet movements and operational setups after being approached on social media several months ago.
Investigators are now examining the extent of the information that may have been compromised.
