Medvedev says attempts to weaken Iran are pushing more countries toward nuclear weapons and warns outside powers against dominating regional affairs
Russian official Dmitry Medvedev said that after recent events, countries including some in the Middle East have begun considering nuclear weapons more seriously.
He argued that efforts to weaken Iran have pushed more states toward nuclear arms, saying only such weapons can prevent a global conflict.
Medvedev also criticized what he described as Western “colonial thinking,” saying no state has the right to act as a global ruler.
On regional affairs, he said Iran should resolve its problems through cooperation with Arab countries, Türkiye and Russia, and warned that outside powers often create instability when they intervene in regional processes.
Medvedev also said he remains on X because he believes Western audiences should continue receiving what he described as alternative information.
