Ted Cruz calls JD Vance “insecure” after vice president says he is already positioning himself for a 2028 presidential run

Eastora News·

POLITICO reported that Cruz rejected Vance’s characterization, saying his current focus is helping Republicans win the 2026 midterm elections.

“In my experience, people engage in political bomb-throwing when they’re feeling insecure,” Cruz said.

Vance had earlier said it was “really obvious” to him that Cruz was already running for president, while saying he himself was focused on electing Republicans in the midterms.
