Brazil election heads to runoff between Lula and Flavio Bolsonaro on October 25

Brazil’s presidential election will go to a second round between incumbent President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Senator Flavio Bolsonaro.

Neither candidate secured more than 50% of valid votes in the first round, sending the race to a runoff on October 25.

The runoff will determine who becomes Brazil’s next president.
