U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will travel to Iceland on Monday for talks focused on economic and security cooperation.
The visit comes about two weeks after the United States signed a security agreement with Denmark and Greenland aimed at strengthening its presence in the Arctic.
Rubio is expected to meet Icelandic officials in Reykjavik as Washington continues to emphasize Arctic security and its strategic interests in the region.
