Trump says refinery disruptions in Russia and the U.S., not the Strait of Hormuz, are now driving up gasoline prices
U.S.
President Donald Trump said the Strait of Hormuz is no longer the main factor pushing up gasoline prices, arguing that record volumes of oil are now moving through the waterway.
He instead pointed to Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries and refinery closures in the United States, particularly in California.
Trump blamed Democratic-led states for the U.S. refinery closures.
