Vance says no conclusive Iran link found in Flydubai attack and calls RAF Fairford bomber withdrawal a precautionary move
U.S. Vice President JD Vance said he has not seen conclusive evidence linking Iran to the attempted attack aboard Flydubai Flight 1073.
He said questions about possible Iranian involvement should be left to CIA Director John Ratcliffe and the U.S. intelligence community, adding that the issue remains under investigation.
Separately, Vance said the withdrawal of U.S. bombers from RAF Fairford in Britain was carried out “out of an abundance of caution” to protect American personnel.
He said U.S. officials believe “with some confidence” that Iran is seeking to carry out acts of terrorism against the United States and others, while stressing that Washington is taking extensive precautions.
