California leaders condemn Trump after he says Iran could “take out” Los Angeles and San Diego
U.S.
President Donald Trump drew criticism from California officials after saying at a Nebraska rally that Iran could “take out” Los Angeles and San Diego, calling it “a very small price to pay.”
California Governor Gavin Newsom called the remarks “deranged and dangerous,” while San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria said the city was “not collateral damage” and “not expendable.”
