Katz orders IDF to raise readiness in Gaza ahead of October 7 anniversary, citing intelligence on possible Hamas attacks

Eastora News·

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said he instructed the IDF to increase its readiness in Gaza and prepare for all possible scenarios ahead of the October 7 anniversary.

Katz said intelligence indicates that Hamas may attempt attacks against Israeli forces in the area.

He ordered the military to prepare for worst-case scenarios and take forceful action in response to any intelligence or warning that could indicate an imminent threat.

Katz also warned that if Israeli forces are harmed, “Hamas and the population of Gaza will pay a heavy price, beyond all proportion.”
