Student protests turn violent in Belgium’s Liège as police use tear gas and water cannon

Student protests in Liège turned violent on Tuesday, with windows smashed, fires set and clashes with police during demonstrations over education policies and rising public transport fares.
Police used tear gas and a water cannon to disperse crowds.
Authorities say 53 people, including 17 minors, have been arrested since Oct. 1, while 22 police officers were injured on Monday.
