Trump proposes turning part of his West Palm Beach golf club into a permanent presidential retreat modeled on Camp David, with Trump funding the new facilities

Eastora News·

President Donald Trump has proposed converting part of the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach into a permanent presidential retreat that could host future presidents, foreign leaders and international summits.

Under the proposal, part of the county-owned land would be made available to the federal government for presidential facilities, while the rest of the private golf club would continue operating.

Trump’s representatives say he would pay for construction of the presidential lodging and related facilities, and that the project would likely be completed after he leaves office.

Palm Beach County is reviewing the plan, and no final name has been chosen for the proposed retreat.
