Hormuz vessel traffic falls to lowest level in more than two months as tanker attacks surge, Reuters reports

Eastora News·

Only seven commodity vessels passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, the lowest daily figure since July 23, according to shipping data cited by Reuters. Traffic edged up to 10 vessels on Wednesday but remained well below the more than 20 recorded on Sunday and Monday.

Crude flows through the strait fell 27% from the previous week’s wartime high to at least 10.1 million barrels per day, equivalent to 74% of pre-war levels. Tanker attacks in the waterway last week reached their highest weekly level since the Iran war began.
