Iraqi Airways resumes direct flights to Iran after seven-month suspension, with daily services from Najaf to three cities

Eastora News·

Iraqi Airways resumed direct flights to Iran on Thursday after a seven-month suspension, with regular daily services from Najaf International Airport to Tehran, Mashhad and Isfahan.

The airline said the routes were restored after regulatory and technical requirements were completed and are intended to facilitate passenger travel, particularly for religious, medical and educational purposes. Iraqi Airways had suspended its Iran services in early March amid the escalation of regional military tensions.
