Israeli military chief warned U.S. officials that renewed Iran strikes could force postponement of Israel’s October 27 election

Eastora News·

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir warned senior U.S. military officials this week that a major American attack on Iran in the coming weeks could force Israel to postpone its October 27 election.

According to Israel’s Channel 12, U.S. officials had told Zamir they were instructed to prepare for possible large-scale operations against Iran within three weeks. Zamir warned that Iran could respond with heavy missile fire against Israel, potentially disrupting the election.

President Donald Trump has since said the United States will not attack Iran before the November 3 U.S. midterm elections.
