Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed says Netanyahu helped push Trump administration into war with Iran

Eastora News·

Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of helping push the Trump administration into the war with Iran.

“We are in the war in Iran in part because of the advocacy of the Israeli prime minister,” El-Sayed said in an interview Tuesday, adding that Netanyahu “came to the Situation Room and advocated for the war.”

El-Sayed argued that Americans are now paying the price through higher gas and grocery costs, on top of billions of dollars in U.S. spending on overseas military operations. He is running against Republican Mike Rogers for Michigan’s open Senate seat in November.
