NYT: Pakistani fighter jets have begun striking Houthi targets in Yemen as Islamabad joins Saudi military campaign
Middle East
Pakistani fighter jets have begun carrying out airstrikes against Houthi targets in Yemen as part of Saudi Arabia’s military campaign, The New York Times reported, citing a senior Pakistani military official.
A second Pakistani official told the newspaper that Islamabad’s role is expected to focus on air support aimed at degrading Houthi drone and missile capabilities, rather than deploying ground forces for offensive operations inside Yemen.
