Trump counterterrorism chief Sebastian Gorka links the Muslim Brotherhood and jihadist groups to Marxism, calls them totalitarian and praises Trump’s support for Israel
White House counterterrorism chief Sebastian Gorka said the Muslim Brotherhood, founded by Hassan al-Banna in Egypt in 1928, combined ideas of jihad with Marxism and helped create what he called a “hybrid threat.” He argued that a common totalitarian character links Nazi Germany, Soviet communism and jihadist groups including al-Qaeda, Hamas, ISIS and Iran’s IRGC.
Gorka also praised President Donald Trump’s relationship with Israel, pointing to his visit to the Western Wall while president, and said the “Red-Green alliance” between Islamists and Marxists was real. He said Trump works “20 hours a day” to defend both the United States and what he called their “shared civilization.”
