Trump says U.S. is having “productive discussions” with Iran and rules out attack before November midterm elections

Eastora News·

U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday that Washington is having “productive discussions” with Iran and will not launch a military attack against the country before the November midterm elections.

The statement marks a shift from his position late last month, when Trump declined to rule out renewed strikes before the elections. It also comes a day after reports that the Pentagon had been instructed to prepare options for possible military action against Iran.
