Trump welcomes Türkiye and Pakistan’s military support for Saudi Arabia under the Mecca Defense Alliance

U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed plans by Türkiye and Pakistan to provide military support to Saudi Arabia under the Mecca Defense Alliance.

Asked about the move at the White House on Wednesday, Trump said: “I think they want to help Saudi Arabia, and I think that’s great.”

The three countries agreed Monday to begin implementing their collective defense commitments and take measures for the rapid deployment of agreed military forces and capabilities to Saudi Arabia.
