WSJ: U.S. Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle asked Trump donor to pay $100,000 AmEx bill before Senate hearing while offering help with tax and legal matters

Eastora News·

The Wall Street Journal reported that Kimberly Guilfoyle asked Trump donor Eric Deters to wire $100,000 directly to American Express days before her July 2025 confirmation hearing, telling him the payment “won’t show up anywhere.”

The Journal said Guilfoyle also contacted administration officials about Deters’ tax and legal disputes and sought help arranging a Tucker Carlson interview. Deters ultimately refused to pay the bill, while Guilfoyle’s lawyer disputed the authenticity of some messages and said she was owed money for earlier speaking engagements.
