Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met Hamas Political Bureau chief Khalil al-Hayya and an accompanying delegation in Ankara on Friday, Turkish diplomatic sources said. No details were immediately released about the substance of the talks.

The meeting comes as Türkiye maintains regular contacts with Hamas alongside its diplomatic involvement in Gaza. Fidan also met al-Hayya in Ankara in July, when their discussions focused on Gaza, the West Bank, humanitarian assistance and broader diplomatic efforts.
