Iran’s crisis agency urges fuel tanks moved outside Tehran to protect civilians in case of U.S. or Israeli attacks on energy infrastructure

Eastora News·

Iran’s Crisis Management Organization has formally recommended moving fuel storage tanks to safer locations outside Tehran to protect residents and property if the capital’s energy infrastructure is attacked, Tasnim News Agency reported. The organization’s head, Hossein Sajedinia, said Iranian energy companies had helped extinguish fires at fuel storage facilities during previous incidents.

The recommendation comes as U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure. Tehran has warned it would retaliate by targeting energy facilities across the Gulf region.
