Riyadh airport is attacked again as officials order an evacuation and halt air traffic, two days after strikes killed three Saudis, including a pilot

Eastora News·

King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh came under attack again on Saturday, October 10, prompting an evacuation and a halt to air traffic, two regional officials told the Associated Press. The renewed attack came two days after three Saudi citizens, including an airline pilot, were killed in strikes on the airport and a Saudia aircraft.

A Riyadh resident told the AP he heard at least two explosions. The airport has been repeatedly targeted since a Saudi-led coalition launched a major offensive against Iran-backed Houthi rebels in neighboring Yemen. The Houthis claimed responsibility for earlier attacks, but there was no immediate Houthi statement about Saturday’s incident.
