Trump is “full of surprises,” incoming White House press secretary Katie Zacharia says as she prepares to start Monday
Incoming White House press secretary Katie Zacharia said she is looking forward to beginning work for President Donald Trump on Monday, October 12, and described the job as being about him, not her. Trump announced her appointment on Friday, October 9.
Zacharia praised Trump’s policies as the most effective and exciting, and called him the most energetic and intense president she had ever seen. She added that she could not wait to start, saying that whatever the role brings, Trump is “full of surprises.”
Zacharia is set to succeed Karoline Leavitt, who left the press secretary post in August. Before her appointment, Zacharia worked as a communications adviser for Trump Media & Technology Group and briefly served as a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson.
