“I’m so ‘popular’”: Trump says his rallies will carry Republicans to victory as he rejects warnings about his low approval rating

Eastora News·

President Donald Trump dismissed suggestions that his declining approval could hurt Republicans in the November 3 midterm elections, accusing Democrats and the “Fake News Media” of falsely portraying his party as headed for defeat. He argued that his popularity would instead help Republicans win.

“Actually, it’s just the opposite. I’m so ‘popular’ that the Republicans are going to Win,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, citing what he called “record-setting rallies” and pointing to an upcoming campaign event in Tennessee. His post came two days after Pew Research Center reported that 30% of respondents approved of his job performance and 68% disapproved, the lowest approval rating of his second term. Democrats have also expanded their list of Republican-held House districts they are targeting as the campaign enters its final weeks.

The federal midterm elections are scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
