“Only our missiles and Geran drones bring victory,” Medvedev says, dismissing Trump’s criticism of Zelensky and urging those cheering it to stay calm
Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said on October 11 that Russian servicemen, ballistic missiles and Geran drones—not U.S. President Donald Trump’s criticism of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy—were bringing Moscow closer to victory in the war in Ukraine.
Medvedev wrote on social media that Trump “never changes his position” and told those who had become overly excited by his remarks to “pull yourselves together.” He added that only Russian ballistic missiles and Geran drones were bringing Russia closer to victory.
Trump had said Zelenskyy did not want to pursue a peaceful settlement, for one reason or another, and argued that Ukraine’s leader would have been in a much more advantageous position if he had reached a deal two years earlier.
Trump had also called for Ukraine to get a new president whom he said could make a deal with Russia, according to the Associated Press.
