Saudi aviation authority reports 12 dead and 309 injured in Riyadh airport attack, with fatalities including four Saudis and nationals of seven countries
Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation said early Sunday that an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday, October 10, killed 12 people and injured 309. Some of the injured are in critical condition, the authority said.
The dead included four Saudi citizens and eight foreign nationals: two Bangladeshis and one person each from the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, the Palestinian territories and Sudan. The injured are receiving medical care at several hospitals, GACA said.
The attack followed several strikes on King Khalid International Airport in the preceding week that had killed four people, according to The Associated Press.
