Harris says Trump’s Russian diesel deal “reeks of weakness,” arguing the Iran war drove fuel prices and the purchase will fund Russia’s war

Former Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday criticized President Donald Trump’s plan to bring Russian diesel to U.S. and global markets, saying his policies on the war in Iran were responsible for soaring gasoline and diesel prices.
Trump announced the deal on October 9 after a call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying Russia would supply diesel to global markets. His administration temporarily lifted sanctions on Russian fuel as part of an effort to bring down prices; Russia is at war with Ukraine.
