Netanyahu seeks U.S. mediation for Israeli military action against Yemen’s Houthis, but Saudi crown prince reportedly rejects the proposal

Eastora News·

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking U.S. mediation to persuade Saudi Arabia to permit Israeli military involvement against Yemen’s Houthis, Haaretz reported, citing a diplomatic source.

Haaretz’s report says Netanyahu hopes Israeli-Saudi cooperation against the Houthis would strengthen ties and help pave the way for a normalization agreement. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has reportedly rejected the proposal, concerned that Israeli intervention would be unpopular with the Saudi public.
