Oil prices rose on Monday after renewed Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia over the weekend, with Brent crude reaching its highest level in two weeks as traders assessed regional risks.
Brent gained 1.25% to about $106 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude traded near $92. Both benchmarks reached their highest levels since September 29, according to the reported market figures.
The Houthi attacks came amid a Saudi-backed offensive in Yemen aimed at retaking areas near key shipping routes, adding to concerns about regional security and energy supply risks.
