Saudi crown prince reportedly moved between guarded palaces with bunkers as Houthi attacks intensify and pressure grows on Riyadh

Eastora News·

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been moved between heavily guarded palaces equipped with bunkers amid escalating Houthi attacks, The Independent reported Monday, citing a Wall Street Journal report based on officials familiar with his movements. The Independent said the crown prince had not appeared in public since Tuesday, when he took part in a blood donation drive.

The post also described the continuing war as a growing financial strain on Saudi Arabia, but provided no figures to quantify its cost. The Independent said it had contacted the Saudi foreign ministry for comment.

The reports come amid repeated Houthi attacks on Saudi airports. The Associated Press reported that a strike on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport on Saturday killed at least 13 people and wounded more than 300; the airport was struck again on Sunday.
