Trump is weighing whether to remove U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle after allegations she sought $100,000 from a donor for access to administration officials

Eastora News·

President Donald Trump is considering firing U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle following reports of alleged misconduct, CNN reported. The allegations include claims that she accepted lavish gifts and sought money in exchange for access to Trump administration officials.

Former Trump donor Eric Deters said Guilfoyle asked him for $100,000 to pay an American Express bill shortly before her Senate confirmation. Guilfoyle denies sending the messages cited in the allegation. She was previously engaged to Donald Trump Jr.

The Associated Press reported that Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio were weighing whether to fire Guilfoyle, with a decision likely this week. Her lawyers have denied wrongdoing and said the money Deters was asked to pay was for public appearances and speaking engagements that had not been paid for.
