Hungary’s parliament has voted to repeal measures introduced in 2021 under former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán that restricted portrayals of homosexuality and transgender identities, the BBC reported.
Prime Minister Péter Magyar’s government passed the amendments as part of efforts to dismantle Orbán-era laws. Shortly afterward, the European Union agreed to release €4.2 billion in frozen funds.
