Judge Ana Reyes rebukes Trump administration over mass tree-cutting at East Potomac golf course and temporarily halts further work

Eastora News·

U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes sharply criticized the Trump administration on Monday after more than 400 trees were cut at East Potomac Golf Links in Washington over the holiday weekend, ordering a temporary pause on further tree removal.

Reyes had previously directed the government to give advance notice before cutting more than 10 trees at the site, where preservationists and golfers are challenging the planned renovation.
