Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would be the first to merit a Nobel Prize if Türkiye’s peace process with the PKK resolves the Kurdish issue.
Speaking at the MERI Forum in Erbil on October 12, Barzani described the process as serious but slow-moving and said it required patience. He said his assessment was based partly on what he had observed of Erdoğan over the previous two years.
