Putin and UAE President discuss Middle East crisis and Russia-U.S. diesel supply deal, Kremlin says
Russian President Vladimir Putin and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the Middle East crisis and a Russia-U.S. agreement on diesel supplies during a phone call Tuesday, the Kremlin said.
The two leaders also discussed bilateral cooperation and their countries' strategic partnership, according to official readouts.
The diesel issue follows an agreement under which Russia said it was ready to begin supplying additional volumes of diesel to the United States and other markets in October.
Putin and Sheikh Mohamed have maintained regular contact on regional issues, including developments in the Middle East and energy cooperation.
