Selma Blair arrested after two flight attendants reported injuries on Delta flight; she pleads not guilty to assault charges tied to events after landing

Eastora News·

American actor Selma Blair was arrested at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on Sunday, October 11, after flight attendants reported an alleged assault aboard a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said two attendants reported injuries and one was taken to a hospital.

At a Queens arraignment on Monday, October 12, Blair pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree assault over allegations that she kicked a police officer taking her to the hospital and a nurse there. The Associated Press reported that the FBI had also issued a separate assault notice over the alleged in-flight incident. Blair was released after bail was set at $20,000 cash or a $60,000 bond.

Blair’s representative said she experienced a medical emergency during the flight, received immediate care after landing and was in stable condition. Delta said it has “zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior,” adding that passenger and crew safety comes first.
