Trump leaves door open to endorsing a candidate in Israel's October 27 election

U.S. President Donald Trump said Tuesday he may endorse a candidate in Israel's upcoming election but has not yet decided whether to do so.
Asked whether he would endorse anyone in the October 27 vote, Trump said, "We haven't even thought about it. I may be doing something."
He added that his position could still change before the election.
Trump has previously avoided endorsing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for another term. In a recent TIME interview, he also said he had heard no "bad things" about opposition contender Gadi Eisenkot.
