Trump says China and Russia have “too much to lose” by helping Iran and says Washington would quickly detect any support

Eastora News·

U.S. President Donald Trump said he did not believe China or Russia was helping Iran, arguing that both countries had too much to lose and that Washington would quickly learn if they were involved. Reuters reported the remarks, which Trump posted on Truth Social late Monday, October 12.

“If they are, it’s at a very low level, but I don’t believe they are at all,” Trump wrote, referring to claims by critics and opponents that Beijing and Moscow were aiding Tehran.

Trump said in July that he trusted China and Russia not to help Iran, but warned that any involvement would be “very bad for them.” Reuters has also reported that Trump previously raised the issue with Chinese President Xi Jinping and received assurances that China would not support Tehran.
