Yemen’s Sanaa-based forces renew warnings to oil-facility workers and air travelers in Saudi Arabia, citing sites previously designated as military targets
Yemen’s Sanaa-based armed forces have renewed warnings to people working at Saudi oil facilities and to those using Saudi airports or airspace, saying they should avoid locations the forces have designated as military targets.
The warning covers experts, engineers, employees and workers at Saudi oil sites, including locations that have not previously been struck. The forces said the advisory was intended to prevent people from putting their lives at risk.
They also repeated earlier warnings to airlines, aviation companies, airport authorities, aviation workers and travelers concerning Saudi airports and airspace identified in previous statements. Yemen Press Agency reported the renewed warnings.
The warnings come amid an escalation in fighting between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis. The Associated Press reported that the Houthis renewed their warning against using Saudi airspace on Tuesday, following a deadly attack on Riyadh’s international airport over the weekend.
