Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court has overturned the death sentence imposed on Anojan Sivarasa, a 27-year-old Sri Lankan migrant worker convicted of blasphemy in September over a Facebook comment insulting the Prophet Muhammad.
Sivarasa deleted the comment and apologized, but was arrested in July. It remains unclear whether he will be released or face further legal proceedings.
