Starlink’s 60–70 km/h cap on Ukrainian terminals cuts connectivity for medium-range kamikaze drones and also affects interceptors

Eastora News·

A speed cap of 60–70 km/h on SpaceX’s Starlink terminals in Ukraine is effectively cutting connectivity for medium-range kamikaze drones, while also affecting drone interceptors that rely on the service.

Ukraine uses the affected drones to target Russian air defenses, logistics and infrastructure in Crimea and border regions. The restriction also affects interceptors that use Starlink to shoot down Russian Shahed-type jets, weakening both Ukraine’s offensive and defensive capabilities.
