Western intelligence detects new Iranian military activity as Netanyahu briefs Trump, Channel 12 reports

Eastora News·

Western intelligence agencies have detected new and unusually intense Iranian military activity, prompting renewed Israeli and U.S. scrutiny of Tehran's intentions, Israel's Channel 12 reported Thursday.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has briefed President Donald Trump on developments in Iran, but Trump has not yet decided whether to authorize another strike or when such an operation might take place.

Israeli officials believe that if a new campaign is launched, it should target Iran's energy infrastructure, missile capabilities and nuclear facilities.

Despite the new intelligence, Israeli and U.S. security officials do not currently see an immediate operational urgency requiring a strike in the coming days.

Channel 12 had reported earlier this week that Netanyahu discussed renewed large-scale operations against Iran with Trump, while Israeli assessments at the time said Iran's recent ballistic missile activity appeared to reflect a slow and partial effort to rebuild its missile forces.

Trump has publicly said he is not committed to another strike before the U.S. midterm elections, while U.S. military planners have continued preparing options for renewed operations against Iran.
