Iran’s acting oil minister warns of swift retaliation against any U.S. threat to energy facilities, saying Washington’s war has affected global energy
Iran’s acting Oil Minister Hamid Bovard warned that Tehran would retaliate swiftly against any U.S. threat to Iranian energy facilities, saying Washington’s war against Iran had already affected the global energy sector. Dawn reported his warning that Iran would take “precise and appropriate retaliatory measures at the right time to counter enemy threats.”
Bovard also said Tehran would respond “immediately and appropriately” to threats against its energy infrastructure. His warning came amid escalating U.S. pressure on Iran’s oil industry and energy exports.
He accused Washington of launching its war in disregard of international norms. Bovard was appointed acting oil minister earlier this month after his predecessor, Mohsen Paknejad, resigned.
