Trump says Saudi-Israel Abraham Accords may be “more than ever” back on the table

Eastora News·

President Donald Trump said Friday that normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel through the Abraham Accords could be back on the table “maybe more than ever.”

Asked whether Saudi Arabia should accept Israeli help in fighting the Houthis, Trump said yes and predicted Riyadh would do so.

“I think they will,” Trump said. “Israel has been very helpful to Saudi Arabia.”

Trump also said Saudi Arabia was “very happy” to have support from both Israel and the United States.

His remarks come as Saudi Arabia faces renewed Houthi attacks and Israel has offered assistance, although Trump did not specify what form of Israeli support Riyadh had already received.

Saudi Arabia and Israel do not have formal diplomatic relations. Normalization talks had previously advanced before being disrupted by the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack and the subsequent Gaza war.
