Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tells Americans gas prices will fall if Iran’s nuclear threat is removed, says only Trump can deliver it
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Americans on Sunday that gasoline prices would fall if Iran’s nuclear threat were removed, saying President Donald Trump was the U.S. leader capable of achieving that outcome.
Netanyahu made the remarks in a video message released on October 18, shortly after Trump publicly endorsed him for re-election in Israel’s October 27 election.
“If you’re worried about today’s gas prices, think of what will happen if Iran gets nuclear weapons, something that Trump and I will never allow,” Netanyahu said.
He said that when “the threat of that regime disappears,” gasoline prices would fall. “But only under Trump,” Netanyahu added. “It’s not going to happen with those who want to accommodate and appease these tyrants.”
Netanyahu also praised Trump directly, saying the United States, its allies, Israel and the Jewish people had been fortunate to have a leader with what he called “clarity, consistency, conviction, and courage.”
“Donald, thank you,” Netanyahu said.
Trump earlier Sunday gave Netanyahu his “Complete and Total Endorsement” for re-election, citing their cooperation against Iran and saying the United States would otherwise have to confront Iran without Netanyahu as its Israeli partner.
