U.S. President Donald Trump gives Netanyahu “complete and total endorsement” ahead of Israel’s October 27 election

Eastora News·

U.S. President Donald Trump endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for re-election on Sunday, October 18, nine days before Israel’s national election.

“Please let this Letter serve to represent my Complete and Total Endorsement of Bibi Netanyahu in his upcoming Race for Re-Election as Prime Minister of Israel,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “BIBI NETANYAHU WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

Trump tied his endorsement to Israel’s confrontation with Iran, calling Netanyahu a “Great Warrior Prime Minister” and a partner in confronting the Islamic Republic.

He said Iran had been “systematically destroyed, both militarily and financially,” and warned that unless Tehran changed course, “we will soon finish the job.” He did not specify what further action he was referring to.

Trump also told Israeli voters that if the country chose “anyone other than Bibi,” the United States would have to confront Iran “ourselves,” adding that he was “not inclined to do so.”

Israel is scheduled to hold its parliamentary election on October 27, its first national vote since the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack and the wars that followed in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran.
